That has been such an inspiring movie for me. It perfectly embodies some periods of my life when I felt lost. I didn't have the possibility to go and travel where I wanted. But there were remedies that made me feel alive.
I particularly love the part of the movie when the protagonist, Elisabeth, is in Italy. Some scenes are stunning. And I'd like to briefly make a reflection on the importance of "eat" in the title of the movie.
The essence of this part of the movie is more or less similar to some images I will keep in my mind for the rest of my life: people eating and chatting together.
Eating is not just the act of eating itself, it's socializing, having the opportunity of staying together, they are the moments when you build the best memories with your family. You enjoy your meal; it's not just a matter of food, but food can get people gather. I love that. Let's just figure out how our Christmas would be without a very big table and some tasty food. It's not Christmas. It's not family. And Christmas and family wouldn't be such amazing presents, such sweet gifts.
